The last of my OOP Freddy King posts.... there's still more fine albums of his, as well as several very good compilations (Blues Guitar Hero and The Very Best of Freddy King Vols. 1-3 come to mind) .. but they're all available to purchase, with some little effort, so I'm not gonna post them here..

I guess it's a safe bet that this one'll never see a cd release.. seeing as it's just Hideaway / Danceaway with audience & other effects added..
Even so, t's still a must-have , though, for both  Freddy King collectors and surf collectors..but i suppose it belongs in that  class along with Bo Diddley's 'surf' album, and maybe Duane Eddy's 'Surf' album..
there were a lot of folks jumpin' on the bandwagon back in the day .. just addin the word 'Surf' would guarantee sales..
I mean , hey, i paid  a C note for it  just a few years ago.. only cuz it's so rare..!

... but i gotta dig thru some boxes for that kinda stuff.. and i just did a move so it's a challenge..

fact is .the shit ive heard where when doin gigs where it werenrt my soundman, where i heard later that the other guitariosts 'paid off ' the board to turn me down in the mix, or a million other things like that.. thing is, the stuff i posted aint nearly me when im shinin.. i remember one gig i had three guitars (well, a doubleneck and another) goin at once so i could play all of electric ladyland correctly and a "bud" from another HUGE band was blown away by it..when he heard this..(not so much of a buddy if i got no breaks after!) and turns out only the folks at the front of the stage heard what i was doin cuz the soundman turned off my mike on my marshalls.. he left the monitors OK so i had no idea  wuzzup...
and its still goin on.. coupled with no action on the net after a couple years.. and six months on this blog...
i give up......................

Well... just about did a Bon Scott or a Bonzo.....

But i LIVED .... after an 8 month,  three or four 26er a day binge.. i'd wake up pukin' an breathin it in... an after a half hour it'd subside if i managed to keep enough of the fire water down... or.. downers to sleep.. otherwise it'd go on for hours..a quarter litre of OJ... nope ... didn't help... it wennt on like this for EVER.. uuntil i almost died.. i DID choke on my own Puke... luckily i was awake cuz nuttin has ANY kinda sleepy efx on me.. so after turnin blue i went an called my gitar friend ronny strat who called the folks you call for help with booze.. an  they tried their best..  "Oh we can get you in in a couple days".. aaaah 2 more days of this....

but due to gov't cutbacks, .... "oops a little bit of red tape 2 more days" ... well by this time i'm nearly dead and cant keep ANYTHING down .. an if i DON'T... i puke an shake... an...well.. do the whole Bonzo thing.. nearly....

well... because.. firstly.. it's not an unheard of prob.. an y'know.. it's alluz nice to have heard from someone whose been there too ...

ha ha ha ha... well...........
....about ten years ago (the last time i had any chance to record ANYTHING).
i recorded the heavier bits and raunchier blooz bits i posted here..
All itr took was two cassette decks, a gibson an a fender, a 'tube sound' overdrive pedal, a beater box, ....and... each day...3 gallons of 20% homemade sherry.. 10 valium 10's, 3 to 4 GRAMS of morphine sulphate, an a little poppy tea to top it all off....

NOW... go back an listen to my stuff...
an while doin so, keep in mind..
my batteries are FULLY CHARGED now.... on Fresh Air,  an  plain Water,.... buddies!...

i got a whole lot waaay better stuff coming down the pike .....

First im gonna lock down an secure my health tho..
First priority...
